Reviewing this museum is difficult. It is very complete and as a tourist, I learned many things dealing with the history of the Jewish people. However the state of the museum is very bad. You have the feeling that the museum hasn't changed since the 80s! That would not be a problem if this had no consequences on the quality of the visit. But it has! Many panels are unreadable. Some computers or headphones are at disposal, but many of them are destroyed so no one can use them... It's a shame, because otherwise the theme and organization are original. Anyway, I think that for more than 40 shekels, one could hope for a more renovated structure.

Museum is very interesting and well-equiped. Unfortunately its main exposition is not being shown (I belive until 2019), so a call before hand could be in need before going all the way there. Other expositions are very nice, but not worth the price and distance.

The museum is nice but very small. You can see everything in less than one hour.

Love this place. The hood vibe begins with the smile of the old guy who sells the tickets. Since the new wing was opened, every exhibition there & on the entrance level is stunning! Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, the Synagogues, Jewish humour/comedy, famous Jews, etc. I'm an Anglo-Israeli gentile feeling "really at home here"!

Saw this museum many times many years ago. Amazing things shown in an interesting way. When you enter you see the faces of Jews from all around the world and you can see that they look like the faces of all people around the world, it is amazing. Museum has a large video collection of older Jewish cultural music and ethnic Jewish dances from around the world. Amazing to see. Currently wanted to visit again but museum was under major renovation. Waiting to see it again after done.

A great museum to explore the standard Zionist narrative from destruction of Second Temple to redemption via establishment of State of Israel. The replicas are accurate and well explained. The only questionable issue is that one has to follow one path throughout which forcibly reinforces the particular narrative. This is the case with other major one theme museums in Israel; for example the Yad VaShem Holocaust museum in Jerusalem

We have visit Beit Hatfutsot Museium few weeks ago. My son and I went to the comedy galleria. We got 2.galleries for one (the jewish invetors and the jewish comedy). I must say it was more than OK. The gallery is small and predicted, nothing new was presented. Thirty minutes after getting in we had the filling we are done. We went to the jewish inventors gallery, this gallery, on the other hand, was much better and interesting for my kid as it was interactive and reach.

I recommend to visit this museum. It is very interesting exposition, very informative. Some information for me was useful, as historian and archaeologist.

Has miniature replicas of historic synagogues from around the world. Also has a great exhibit on the history of Jewish humor including artifacts from Seinfeld.

A great place to gather interesting information about so many influencing Jewish people and about heritage in the diaspora and in Israel. The heroes exhibition for kids was fun, informing, interactive and engaging. The adults also learned a lot about trailblazing Jewish persons in leadership, philosophy, sports, espionage and more. The synagogues small replicas are amazing. The laughter exhibition was fun and fascinating as well.

Great museum. Their permanent exhibition is being renewed right now and should open in 2019. However, they have amazing temporary exhibitions about comedy, synagogues and other stuff, worth a visit as it's really close to the city. Highly recommended, reasonably priced.

A renovated museum on the Tel Aviv University campus. The current exhibit about Jewish Humor was fun. They have an excellent exhibit of historical synagogue models, if you like that sort of thing, ranging from medieval through contemporary.
