Went there in new year 2018. Wonderful places all around, Well preserved temples in the busy street of japan. Those small shops on the side of road, and that cool Lightening of the temple. That wonderful street and the service of public vehicles like train facility is one of the best thing about this place, A must visit place in tokyo. 💯% recommended

Top destination in Tokyo. It is better to visit around 6pm. Many food stalls and souvenir shops along the street to the temple. You could rent a kimono set and walk for few hours before return it. Also you could ride a traditional rickshaw for 15-45 mins and get better explanation along the way.

Really big beautiful gate with a shopping street after it. The street however is really busy but great for photography and exploring all the shops.

A beautiful, integrated village around the Asakusa area, with clear views of the Tokyo Skytree, the sprawling marketplace and is pretty much one of the most visited shrines based on the tourist counts around. I have a deep respect for the traditions and culture, and truly appreciate the city built around them.

Beautiful corner of Asakusa. You can spend few hours in this corner shopping traditional gifts, pay respect to Senso-ji and enjoy local snacks.

My favorite temple in Tokyo! It’s free to Visit unlike the many temples in Kyoto, and there’s much food to sample before entering it. I would recommend trying the sweet rice wine and the melon bun which you can get at many stalls near the entrance. At the temple you can also seek divination just for fun. If you get a bad lot or reading just tie it and supposedly your bad luck will be resolved

Hozomon Gate is very famous in Asakusa, it can be said this gate is one of the icon from Asakusa. The location is not far from Asakusa station, can be reached by foot. Around Hozomon Gate, many traders sell souvenir items typical of Japan. For a relatively standard price with items sold in other places. This place is always crowded with tourists abroad, where here too many shops that rent Kimono, typical Japanese clothes. Many foreign tourists who use Kimono to take photographs around this location.

A famous landmark in Akasuka, next to a famous Buddhist temple and Shrine, surrounded by hundreds of little shops and restaurants. It's a must visit place for tourists, however be aware, it gets really crowded at the weekends.
