Casa Loma is a wonderful venue for many events. Beautiful location for a wedding. Or wedding pictures. Lovely place to take photos! Little known fact: It used to be council grounds for local Indian tribes because it was on high ground. Also follows the old Indian trail which used to be the shores of Lake Iroquois (12,000 years ago). Beautiful castle but sad story of colonial imperialism. Great place to visit to learn about local history. Would be great if the staff all knew these facts to share with visitors, tourists and students.

Loved this castle. It is beautiful. They are filming a new international movie, Polar, at this time. We saw the props people setting up different areas. We were told they film at night. Hope to see the movie when it comes out. 🕍❤ They had individual narration that they give out when you purchase a ticket. A lot of interesting history with this castle.

This was not my first visit, but for the first time the underground tunnel was open for visitors, leading to antique cars exposition. It was great, not crowded, moderate traffic. The castle is modern in comparison with some castles in Europe, but has its own charm. Great views to downtown Toronto from the top. I stopped for lunch in the cafeteria, a bit pricey but the food was fresh, served quick and very tasty.

I love visiting castles. This one was pretty good. There were lots of places to walk around and see. The tunnels lead away from the main castle to the stables and garages. There seems to be lots of extra things to do here like escape rooms and soon a restaurant. They already have food downstairs and they have even shot many movies here. You are able to go to the top of both towers and on the third floor there is a war museum. Overall a fun way to spend the afternoon for just 30 bucks. Very close to the subway system.

Great time here! The castle is beautiful and breathtaking, staff are friendly, and we easily made about a half day out of it (we didn't do the audio tour or read every single thing we looked at, which may have increased the time even more so). A place that can easily wow the adults just as much as the children! The cafe in the basement was new since I had gone there about 10-15 years ago, and had really tasty food and quite reasonable prices too (considering it's at a tourist place!). Would encourage those going to seek out discount tickets as part of the Toronto city pass, or through CAA like we did.

Impressed with the castle and could have spent a lot more time here. Free audio tour. 800ft tunnel to garage and stables. Posters of the many movies filmed here. Huge spectacular rooms with hidden pathways. Looks like it is used for weddings and other events. Escape the tower and seasonal events held here. Fun to explore the towers with great views from one. Third floor museum for The Queens Own Rifles of Canada.

Such a beautiful place. I got the Toronto city pass that includes Casa Loma and other 4 highlights of the city. The parking space is separate, I paid $5 I went in a beginning of January, so they still have like Christmas festivities, I saw a girl doing aerial dance with a rope. The view from the top shows you a great perspective of Toronto, including the CNN Tower. Marshmallow with melted chocolate at the balcony!! I enjoyed a lot my time there. They also have a old car exhibition and horses there!

Came here for the escape room. This is the second time I've done one and it is easily the best one in Toronto. There are actors who play along the entire time and are helpful in solving. It's a full production. They also have a museum, a few pubs and a haunted house during Halloween. It's one of my favorite places to visit in the city for a variety of activities.

Case Loma was so much fun! Fourteen of us went and did the Escape the Tower escape room. This was my first escape room experience and I couldn't be happier that I did it at Casa Loma. The castle is absolutely gorgeous at night. I felt that price of roughly $45 USD was fair for the quality of the escape room. The actors were fabulous and helped you throughout the challenge. We escaped with 30 seconds remaining and had so much fun.

Very interesting place to see! Very personal feel of family lived. Amazing castle and good atmosphere! Tons of things to explore and history to learn. We went on Christmas time and it was magical! Many many Christmas trees and all decorated for each room ! Just magical! Tickets reasonable compared to anther attractions in a city. We found out best deal was city pass.

Beautiful home and very informative. The staff go out of their way to accommodate large crowds. Our high school group drove all night to perform at the castle. The staff discovered the kids hadn't eaten and had been on the road, they put together a very affordable breakfast for 100 kids right on the spot. So impressed with how kind everyone was. Highly recommended.

Beautiful castle nestled in one of the biggest Canadian cities. We spent hours here with the kids looking around all of the rooms upstairs and down. There was a big set up of dining and entertainment outside in the garden area. We loved the atmosphere. We got some great photos from the tower lookout up top. Also the kids enjoyed the underground tunnel to the antique garage and stables.

Very interesting and beautiful to see. Great for someone who loves architecture. For me personally it was a bit to much explanation about the architecture. The view from the towers is magnificent. It was a bit confusing that the explanation about the owner of the house was on the upper floor. It made me feel like a had missed a piece of the story when admiring the ground floor. Very friendly staff and good audio explanation in multiple languages.

Casa Loma is magnificence made manifest. The place has a very inviting atmosphere. The elegance of the furniture and decor are unmatched by anyplace I've ever been, including Biltmore Estate in the U.S. There are so many places to explore there, from the stables, to the attic. Every where you explore, you get a sense of the time when people lived there. You can feel the place as a home, rather than a tourist trap. There is so much to see at Casa Loma, you might want to go back and see more. While children are welcome there, toddlers can be a problem. If you have toddlers, you know what I'm talking about. There are restaurants, and food outlets.

A stunning home with absolutely gorgeous gardens. The perfect place to sit an imagine yourself as a prince or princess. The house has so much character and lots of explore. Perfect for an event! Summertime is by far the best time to visit. I am sure Christmas is probably amazing as well. Lots of scheduled activities too like bear picnics and princess gatherings.
Richard Padilla | מאי 28, 2018
A great piece of Canada / Ontario / Toronto History. It is nice to go around Christmas as it is decorated inside and you can see Santa and court is decorated with amazing lights. But I don't think outside of the garage is open. In the summer you get to see outside of the garage which you realize how huge and amazing this place really is. We didn't know that until we were walking by this past summer.

Great sights and the castle is nice. Several rooms were used for storage or not up kept. To me that’s inexcusable for the steep price people pay to tour this. Too many school groups and kids running about. It’s nice but I think the staff slipping here. Watch the video in the pool about the family- prob the most interesting part. Seen better houses tho

Lovely place. You can go with kids with no problem. There's a stroller parking right inside. Don't know if it's always like this, but there was no AC on the second floor so it was freaking hot. Other than that, everything was perfect. Try the mac and cheese in the restaurant outside. It is really good.

Fun activity for those who like castles/history. We spent only a couple hours there because we had kids with low attention spans, but our 3-year-old loved climbing the towers (carefully). There were many fun things to see for us and kids like the tunnel, old cars, etc. If we had more time I could have enjoyed 3-4 hours there, and spent more time actually listening to the great audio tour information that is available in multiple languages. Well done!
Ricky Long | יולי 6, 2018
Place is well kept. Not too crowded when we went. Efficiently ran. Bathroom is downstairs where there is a row of posters for every cinema filmed at the castle. The tunnel leading to the vintage cars and garden is also on the most bottom floor. They offer an self audio tour as well. Many people were carrying it around with them.
Sangyeon Cho | יוני 30, 2018
It is one of Toronto's most famous tourist destinations. It is always crowded with a lot of people and you can enter City Pass. I recommended City Pass because the admission fee is higher than attractions. They offer audio tours in various languages(Free). Do not miss the observation deck on the roof! You can see the beautiful city of Toronto.

Interesting historical site. A museum shaped like a large fairytale castle with hidden passageways, a movie, self-guided tour and gorgeous garden. Not entirely wheel chair accessible though, which can be expected from a building over a century old. The roof restoration, which felt like it had been going on for at least 10 years, is finally complete so the scaffolding is gone. Wedding pictures and receptions are constantly being held here as well as other events. In the basement are posters of movies that used the castle in their sets with X-Men being the most prominent. Less explored is the car museum located in the stables and even less explored is the old growth garden.

Casa Loma is a breathtaking historical site with incredibly interesting information on military and life in the past. The outside of the castle is super intricate and the giant stone unicorn is a nice touch. Basically if you’re thinking of visiting a castle, go see this castle because that is exactly what it looks like. The inside on the other hand is super cool, there’s suits of armor, old clocks, old bathrooms with antique furniture, a TIGER SKIN RUG, and tons of The Queen’s Own Rifles history and equipment as well as history and equipment from WW1, WW2 and many other wars that have happened in the past. Walking through all the rooms there is an option to have an audio tour where they give you a walkie talkie looking device that spells out the facts of whatever room you may be in. Each room is different, from libraries to conservatories to wine cellars. There are also cool fountains outside that offer a refreshing mist when sitting on the edge. The secret passageways are also very intriguing (only two out of three existing ones have been found). The gift shop and cafeteria have some cool stuff but naturally it’s overpriced (normal prices for gift shops at tourist attractions). There is also a movie theatre which tells the story of the residents, right before this there is a hallway with movie posters that have filmed scenes at the castle and a TV displaying those scenes. The garden section of Casa Loma is also worth walking through. The scattered, professional carvings of different animals along the path are enjoyable as you listen to birds and what sounds like cicadas. There is also a fish pond and lights that light up the path and trees at night. Some people have concerns about the heat but it’s not bad unless you go up Norman Tower and there are lots of air conditioners and the marble floored conservatory is nice and cool. I didn't get a chance to try out the escape rooms but I have no doubt they would be fantastic. Smiley Staff and Cleanly atmosphere.

Unbelievable that such a beautiful medieval castle would exist in the midst of a modern city such a Toronto! The castle structure outside is modeled on the ancient medieval castles of England. Or instantly transports you to a bygone era. Inside there are various tours including self guided audio tours. Its beautifully decorated and maintained well. You have to see it too believe it. Lovely place to visit while in Toronto.

Casa Loma was such a great experience for me. The castle gardens were so beautiful and amazing to look at and how nice the flowers looked too! And on the inside of the castle it really and truly does give you a nice old late 18th century. From the furniture to the old style bathrooms and so much more. If you want to feel a good old fashioned vibe then I highly recommend checking out this place.
Vicky Marinova | יולי 15, 2018
It was a cool thing to see. Lots of history behind it. There was a lot of informative and interesting displays and it had acts as well. There were a cobras axon aerial artists. You could also go up to the towers and that was also nice. Pretty cool. I would have liked to do a condition tour but I couldn't find a tour guide, so I walked around on my own.

It’s a very cute castle in Toronto, definitely recommend going up to the top on the narrow spiral staircase, even though it’s quite risky, but the scenery from there is amazing, you can have a great look at downtown Toronto, great for pictures! The only thing I didn’t like is that the narrator thingy was very confusing and they didn’t bring the most out of it, you just went in your own way and they didn’t set up a path or anything, which means that you could easily left a room without even knowing that there was something interesting in there, you decided what room you visit, which I guess could be good for people who are not so interested in this Castle, but I think most people who come to see Casa Loma are in fact interested in it, so this way of listening to the tapes and going to where you decide to go was a downside, I would’ve liked it more if it had a path and you would start in room 1 and then next to it was room 2 and then 3... you get it. But after all, it’s a cute castle! People usually spend there 1.5-2.5 hours I would say.
