Great for the kids. All indoor attraction. Just 3mins walk from Living Coasts attraction. Walk 'round and see models of all the dinosaurs. Easy quiz / 'win' a certificate. 'Find a fossil in the sandpits'. Kids can sit on some models. Very small gift shop. Wheelchair access ( one section has 2-3 steps). Situated in a row of shops / bars. Nearest car park is at the harbour. (Whole attraction can be seen in about 30-40 mins. )
Kids loved it, the adults gave each other a few raised eyebrows regarding the some of the displays, and how tight we were all packed in, but ultimately my kids and all the kids there had a ball, and that's worth a lot. The staff approached the children with dinosaur facts and were having fun too, and the kids are allowed to touch some of the displays, which is admirable. I would suggest making the adult tickets slightly cheaper as it really isn't one for the big kids. You might not rush to go back regularly, but its worth a visit, especially for the under 6s
If you & your kids like dinosaurs this place is great. Lots of information & dinosaurs to see. Not a big place, but reasonably priced. Young man on the desk was very helpful & nolageable
Absolutely brilliant little place. Took us a good 45 minutes to do the walk around quiz and take pictures with all the dinosaurs. Our 3 year old had a fab time brushing off bones and sticking his head into dinosaur jaws and feeling a dinosaur poo haha. He was really proud of his little certificate. Would definitely visit again.
We had planned to do Dinosaur World as part of our short holiday break to Torquey. It was a unique little family attraction. The staff were very friendly and engaging with the children. The children enjoyed sitting on dinosaurs and digging for dinosaur bones in the sandpits. They were handing out quiz sheets the day we went which slowed down the whole experience as they children had to search for clues and read the information for answers. At the end they got a certificate and a bag of mini fossils which the 6 yo loved as there was sharks teeth in it. Without the quiz I think the whole experience would of taken less than 30-40m. But there is an arts and crafts area which our children were not interested with. The children enjoyed their afternoon in Dinosaur world but I doubt it is something they would choose to do again over other attractions.
Very friendly staff who made a real effort to interact with the children at the beginning and end. From the outside it doesn’t look very big, but the exhibition is like a Tardis! There is a huge wealth of information and the displays have been really well thought out and executed. I only wish we hadn’t gone in half-term, as we would’ve liked to have spent more time on each stage, but couldn’t as was so busy. Thanks.
Visited with the family for the Easter egg hunt and had a great time. Have been before and it's always good to see new scenes and do the egg hunt this time. Kids (4 & 6) had a blast looking for the answers and sitting on dinosaurs etc. Always very friendly and polite staff, and the kids loved their certificates and fossils so thank you.
Fun, albeit small dinosaur exhibit. Children of various ages will enjoy. Ticket includes free return visit. Staff very friendly indeed. Exhibits are tough enough that kids are allowed to sit on some of the dinosaurs - which they obviously enjoy. Kids can do an activity sheet that helps to drag it out a bit. A fun 1hr-1.5 - good for a rainy day
My 7 year old son had a fantastic time here!!! He really enjoyed learning about the dinosaurs, digging for fossils and being eaten by a t Rex!!! We spent 3 hours here
Very informative in a fun way, kids loved the interactive zones, finding fossils. Fun quiz to get move involved with the reading. Enjoyed it and would visit again
Kids loved it (so did i) very informative and educational. Top notch and interactive. Great work keep it up
Really good place for dinosaur lovers. Visited with 3 kids who all had a blast sitting on dinosaurs and finding the fossils gets. Good quiz too. Kids loved their certificates.
Was nice than I thought it would be, even at 33 I learned a fair bit, which was great. If took us 2 attempts as our 3 year old daughter was scared/tired. But the staff were great and have us a free return pass for us all. Some great displays and a lot of information.
We visited during half term. As the weather wasn't brilliant thought something inside would be best. When we arrived we were a tad worried as from outside it looks very small however once inside it all changed. So much to do and learn in a fun way, from visual to touch and feel. The kids loved the fact that you were allowed to sit on dinosaurs without being told don't touch, brilliant for photos. And staff so welcoming.
My 8 year old daughter loves it a lot. Definitely worth a visit on a rainy day. Spent a good hour on the main quiz activity and another hour on the special fossil event we arrived in perfect time for. Good value for money with a ticket to return within 3 months 👍
