Ubud palace is one of the most significant places in Ubud city. To me the whole city is a treasure. you will feel like you have come to an ancient time. you can take a car for whole day and visit the city. this palace is open 8am-7pm. balinese dance at evening is another attraction you can enjoy here.

Went here to see Legong dance. It was very nice but the dancers were not as synchronized as I had hoped for. The show also seemed to be at bit made for tourists as they made a quick stop in the middle of the show to ask everyone how they were and do some light stand-up in English. That seemed a little forced. But overall I had a nice time!

Literally Ubud central, all streets lead to the palace. Some areas are closed for the general public. Overall a quick photo op destination. Go for the 7:30pm daily dance performance. A good 90 min mixed traditional dance depicting mythological story forms. Worth the IDR80K. (Some on the street may sell the tickets for IDR100K though).

Renovations in progress... so a lot of the area was closed off, resulting in not much to see. Best to check first with the locals whether the restorations are complete.

Free entrance during the day, every? Night different local dance / theater shows during the night. Conveniently located in the heart of ubud, takes ca 10-15m to see the entire premise (you cannot enter everything, like with most temples in Bali). Usually rather full, i recommend to go during the early morning.

One of the nicest palace in Ubud. Definitely go to take photos, even if you're not planning on catching a show. It's well maintained and such a lovely temple.

Nice dance performance at night. Be there 30 minutes early as it’s pretty hard to get a good place if you come at 19:30.

Very nice palace. Anyway it’s in drop off area for people who are out of Ubud with accommodation so you cannot miss it.

The place was great. Went to Ubud Palace. However, while we were there, it was raining heavily so we couldn't walk that much around the area. But what was great about the area was that there was a market selling souvenirs and clothes and things like that next to it. It was 2 floors and we had fun doing shopping. In the evening, there was also a Barong show at 7pm next to the palace where there is a stage. Show was excellent but not for the faint hearted and for kids. 😜 overall, great place to visit.

Probably not the best dances in Indonesia, as this is a tourist catered space, but a beautiful setting with enchanting dances nonetheless. The dancers are mesmerizing to watch, as their moves and aesthetics are so different from Western dancing and expressive in a different way. Pay special attention to the eye movement. Every night during tourist season (roughly May/June through October/November) there will be traditional Balinese and Indonesian dance performances. Price for entry is 100k IDR which can buy at either gate. Show starts at 7.30pm and lasts roughly an hour and a half. Arrive early for good seats, it gets crowded

Nice architecture. However if u hv been to forbidden city in China, this is nothing close but still good for the Hinduism inspired architecture. Slightly different compared to the architecture at the temples.

Nice place. Worth a visit if you're in Ubud town centre. Not very big so won't take long to get around.

Went for the Friday traditional Balinese dance. It was amazing. I had to stand as it was packed, but still enjoyed myself thoroughly. Amazing storytelling- read the brochure beforehand to follow the tales

palace is free during the day. i watched the show at night but it was next door because someone was having a baby. it would have been nicer to watch in the palace. the show was cool but is extremely long and gets repetitive after a while. i would still recommend the show for the experience at night but probably will not do it more than once

Beautiful! All temples in Bali are really beautiful!! There are lotus flowers but in my opinion, the lotus pool didnt get good maintanance. There are some children who trained dancing and beautiful spots to be captured on our camera. No entry fee ;)
