We went here for the day .we had a great day out.worth visit.
Great views, make sure you reserve about an hour to have enough time to appreciate all the viewpoints.
Extremely beautiful place but too many tourists and high prices in the restaurants.
Great views over a large part of the Salzkammergut.
3 hours beautiful work from St.Wolfgsng to the summit. Inbetween there is a possibility to take the train to the top. From middld to top there are no trees and you can enjoy the beautiful view of the lakes around all the way to the top. At the summit a restaurant will serve you well.
A Paradise !! The view at the top is the most beautiful place we have ever seen !!! The ride on the railway is very good with different views over the mountains tall trees and beautiful houses !! The great view of the lakes !! You can easily spend at least 4-5 hours at the top !! We had just an hour .. but really enjoyed the mother nature and her beauty !!!
40 euros per pax to get up here using their little train. View is great. But the journey was torturing with the sun and ultra slow moving train. 35mins to go up or down. There's a little cafe at the top. Try their goulash. Love it!
Great trip on railway here. Get the train from St. Wolfgang. You are given an allocated train departure time. A screen displays how many seats are available on the next departure. You must book a return at your start point. When you reach the top remember to pick a time for your return to guarantee you a seat on the return trip of your choice. There is a great cafe, hotel and various view points at the top. You can walk down taking about 3 hours or go for the 30 minute train ride. Great views if not cloudy. Aim to go up when the sky is clear but this is no guarantee as in 10 minutes of being on the summit, the cloud rolled in. Wheelchair access is limited due to train carriage style and steep gravel oaths at summit. Cafe and hotel both have steps.
Wonderful if you hike up there in pre-tourism season or before the first train arrives on top. At tourist-time it is an overrun place.
Beautiful place! Perfect views! 👍 You can climb this mountain by foot or you can visit the peak even wuth a train! At the top there is a mountain hotel and a hut. We came to the top by foot and it took u less than 3 hours. It was a perfect walk up and down.
