Canada Place is a building situated on the Burrard Inlet waterfront of Vancouver, British Columbia. It is the home of the Vancouver Convention Centre, the Pan Pacific Vancouver Hotel, Vancouver's World Trade Centre, and the virtual flight ride FlyOver Canada. The building's exterior is covered by fabric roofs resembling sails. It is also the main cruise ship terminal for the region, where Vancouver's famous cruises to Alaska originate. The building was designed by architects Zeidler Roberts Partnership in joint venture with Musson Cattell Mackey Partnership and DA Architects + Planners.

This is the ride (comparable to Disneyland and Universal studios in LA) in Vancouver. However it's uniquely Canadian and I'm proud it's here. You can really just be amazed and wowed by the sheer scale and beauty of Canadian nature including mountains, waterfalls, prairies, cities. The Christmas ride I attended with my wife and son has an additional portion of holiday fairy tale and humour as you see Santa's workshop and town. Also pre-show (recorded) and live Santa after show have been amazing. Just love it and highly recommend as a must do for every visitor in Vancouver!
The concept and the ride is cool. However, it is just the same short video. It would be nice if there are more new movies. If not, it’s hard to go back. Once in a while there are some specials like Christmas. There was a children choir performance during Christmas time which was very nice and added a lot of flavor to the experience.
I went to China and Canada one and it was really fun. An amazing experience and hopefully they will show more places soon because I will definitely return. One thing I wish I knew before hand is not to keep anything in your pockets (mostly If they are open).
As part of upcoming Chinese New Year, they did a Chinese theme experience as part 1. The place was also relevantly decorated in Chinese New Year theme which was quite atmospherically authentic Chinese. The actual 4D flying theatrical experience was quite exciting. If only the graphic can be a bit more clearer, that will enhance the visual aspect of this show.
If you're looking to experience Canada all in one day, come visit FlyOver Canada! I have been here multiple times with both friends and family. You experience sitting on seats that fly out to a curved screen, showing scenes all across Canada with wind, and scents that you can smell. The seats also tilt gently while you are "flying" over Canada.
Great attraction in Vancouver! Some reviewers were complaining they wanted captions? This is a unique ride to feel like you are flying its not an educational documentary? Yes the ride should be a bit longer but it has little touches throughout the ride (don't want to add spoilers) and worth the time and money unless you are one of those entitled type people in Vancouver that can't get that good things are worth the wait. (the line was only 20 minutes on a busy Sunday nothing to be complaining about) We did both the Canada and the American ride and not sure why but we all really liked the Canada ride much better, I will go again whenever friends or guest come for a visit.
While the 5 minute "ride" is quite good, the $120 bill for 4 of us did not equal the drive, parking and line-ups. The ride needs to be more substantial to feel value for your time and money. I did like the 4d effects but would recommend they have some captions during the show highlighting where in Canada the shots are showing. Even being from Canada and visiting many of these places I wasn't sure where we were. This would also add value.
FlyOver Canada is a 'must-do' experience for all visitors to Canada and for all of us who are blessed to call Canada home. The attraction helps expose the vastness and beauty of our great nation. The special effects of adding mist and scents add realism to the experience. The 15% discount for purchasing the tickets online is highly recommended. All the staff were very friendly and professional in our interactions with them.
Based on my personal experience that is my opinion: Range 0 - 10 Service or Product: 8 Customer service: 7 Environment: 8 Cleaning: 8 Washroom: 6 Cost: 5 Accept Bitcoins: No #RCrecommendsit I have had a great experience. If you are a Tourist you should go there. I really recommend it.
This was such an incredible experience! I only wish the whole thing lasted a little longer. When you're in front of the screen, it truly does feel like you're flying. There are fans that blow to make it seem like it's windy, and water that sprays you when you're flying through fog. Overall, it was very cool, and I'm definitely glad we got a chance to do this. It's an amazing ride, especially for tourists! Whether you live in or are visiting Vancouver, make sure you do this at least once - you're sure to love it!
Great experience. Only improvement I would suggest is, if the video resolution was higher. That is the only time when you feel that you are watching a movie and not actually flying when you see blurriness. But if the resolution is high, it will make viewing more immersive and real.
The most amazing feelings in my life, if you did not visit it, please do it now, highly recommended. It represents all the beauty of Canada ❤️🇨🇦 رائعه وأكثر .. ارشح زيارتها بشده.. كانك شفت كل كندا فيها
Flight simulator that shows you Canada’s highlights . I was a little reluctant to do this initially, thinking it was one more touristy thing for cruise ship public. But I must admit it is pretty well made and well organized. Good for any age, whole experience last about 20 -25 min.
It’s way better than the ones I have rode before. Feet hanging, this one definitely feels like you are flying. I was a little worried about the seating, but everyone gets the same experience. The mist feels so nice too, specially when it was so hot outside. Things were so organize, that the flow of the line up went smoothly. They were very experienced on handling high volume visits. Worth coming back for!!! Definitely doing it again.
4 people, 120$, 35 minute wait, 15 minute movie... on a Monday afternoon (does that sound like CANADA?). The amount of money they must make from this must be insane. With that price I just felt like a piece of cattle being moved through as they probably just want to maximize their profit being a tourist trap. I dont know how they get off charging 30 dollars per head. Full length feature films cost half of this and they come out with new and improved ones annually, and are much longer and comfortable. This ride hasn't changed at all since the last time I went there (a year ago). The show itself is a neat experience but definitely not worth the price tag or waiting time. At least install some fans / air conditioning in the waiting area with all the money you guys make. PS. Smart move making the tickets non refundable, 15 minutes into the line I just wanted to get the heck out of there. Save your money and time and enjoy yourself in Vancouver somewhere else. Get ice cream and walk along the waterfront and have a nice lunch instead.
The most amazing feelings in my life, if you did not visit it, please do it now, highly recommended. You will experience all the seasons, see and feel as well. Super WOW 😯 nothing can explain the feelings. It represents all the beauty of Canada ❤️🇨🇦 رائعه وأكثر .. ارشح زيارتها بشده.. كانك شفت كل كندا فيها
What a fun experience. Everyone has a front row seat. Filmed with drones, they were able to give you a truly unique, up close thrill ride, complete with wind and mist. Swoop close to rivers, water falls, mountains and valleys. Soar over Canada's wonderful sights.
Was a fun way to spend some time. Decent visuals, well presented, gives you a good feeling of "Flyover". No lines or waiting. A worth while stop!
