This was an amazing experience. Something to consider is instead of paying to get tickets for the lookout, take the elevator & go straight to the restaurant. The restaurant revolves so you’ll get to see a 360 degree of Vancouver without having to move at all! You do have to order something from the restaurant though, but it will be way less pricey than buying tickets for the lookout.
EPIC! The ticket you buy is valid for the entire day. So you not only get to see the city from up top during the day, but also during the night. I would recommend going here during the winter because of the short days (so you don't have to wait till 9.45pm to get up) and because of the snow. If you are lucky enough to go here when it's snowing, you'll have the view of your lifetime. Secret: What they don't advertise is the elevator ride. You get to the top in a glass wall elevator. You will zip up with cars and people on the street shrinking right in front of you. That was amazing!
Perhaps the best place in all of Vancouver to see its views. The Lookout has done very well. New theatre with neat exhibits on the ledges. I wish there were actual tours being conducted though or just guides walking around instead of just hanging out in the counter. Would also be nice to take out logos of corporate sponsors to put more highlights on Vancouver and its history and views. When will the elevators be fixed?
They could do with washing the windows here but I guess that's a bit hard. Still an amazing experience and worth it if you go once in the day and once at sunset/ night time. They have clean washrooms at the top and helpful guides. The penny crusher machine is working well.
I wish I could give different reviews based on my experience at the lookout. The actual attraction was slightly pricey but overall a cool thing-to-do with informative plates so one can learn about more the region. However, the real treat came when taking the elevator back down. Once reaching the ground floor, the elevator stopped working forcing us to be stuck for an hour. Although it was a bonding moment for those trapped, I was disappointed in the response from management. They half-heartedly offered an apology and gave us a refund after reminding us we wouldn’t be able to come back today given said refund. We were then informed it has happen previously so we weren’t the first victims. Something to consider before visiting. In March they let you climb the tower/received a beer at the end of the trek so maybe wait for that.
Reasonably priced and conveniently located near waterfront skytrain/transit station. Gets quite busy during the summer months and peak times. Worth going up during sunset time to get nice views of the skyline and sun while it is setting.
Loved the views of Vancouver city. The best part is you can get a ticket for entire day and visit multiple times during that day. Make sure there is a good mix of sun and clouds when you plan to visit 😀
Going there at 8:00pm offers an excellent view of the Vancouver night skyline. If you like looking at cities at night, this is the place. Not too expensive, and the staff are friendly.
Excellent first stop if you're visiting Vancouver. You can see the most iconic structures from the lookout, and read a little bit of history of Vancouver. The ticket is valid though the whole day so you can visit many times. It features a small restaurant and tourist information booth.
Great views of Vancouver. Relatively cheap, and good for the WHOLE day, so go early to watch the sunrise, go midday to soak it all in, then return at evening to catch the sunset and watch the downtown lights come on. Probably best to go in the winter season when sunrise is later and sunset is earlier.
The weather was picture perfect. The views was awesome. Took plenty of photos from each side of the lookout. Staff were courteous and friendly. Highly recommend visiting this place.
Cool views and nice descriptions of everything you can see out of the window. The elevator rides up and down are also really cool. There were two young female attendants and they were both exceptionally helpful and answered my long questions with great detail. The gift shop is a little overpriced and there really isn’t much of a selection, and the vending machine is expensive - but other than that, a great trip to last roughly an hour if you stretch it.
Price was average, the views are quite nice. I wouldn't recommend it if you're planning on using a decent camera to take high quality photos. A lot of the glass is marked and at night they have neon purple lights on inside, so all of your photos come out with a bad hue, editing in light rooms helps, but doesn't quite do the job. Ah well. Great if you just want to have a look around the city from high up.
Great lookout to see City of Vancouver and the surrounding areas from the top. Friendly staffs and reasonable price. It was cool to see how Vancouver and the surrounding regions connected together. Also has good general overview of all the attractions.
Nice lookout spot in central Vancouver. Admission was about 15$, and gives you access all day. There are a number of placks to read and the view is incredible. Takes about 30-40 minutes at a slow place to walk around the tower. Fun fact, the person who designed the Vancouver lookout also designed the CN Tower in Toronto Ontario
Price was average for what it is, you might be able to get tickets cheaper if you order them online. The views are quite nice however I wouldn't recommend it if you're planning on using a good camera to take high quality photos. A lot of the glass is marked and at night they have neon purple lights on inside, so all of your photos come out with a bit of a hue tint. Editing the photos in light rooms helps, but doesn't quite do the job. Ah well. Great if you just want to have a look around the city from high up.
Beautiful views of the city. Informative plaques under the windows tell you exactly what you are viewing. Really liked that. Elevator has glass on one side for views as you ride up and down. Small gift shop with souvenirs and vending machines. This area is elevated and has tables and chairs. Makes for great viewing while snacking.
Gorgeous views of the city. We chose to end our trip there, so we could look for all the places we visited. At sunset, it was perfect! There is good information about the city and it’s history and a nice little gift shop. Would go again!
An interesting place to see 360 degree views of Vancouver! The elevator brings you up quickly. There is lots to see once you are on the observation deck. There is even a gift shop to buy trinkets. Be warned it does get busy and loud when there are lots of visitors. One tip is to get your hand stamped so that you can go back later in the day to see the sunset.
