Utterly sublime and 100% closed on Tuesdays. Not only do you get a sense of how beautiful her home was (and it's exquisite), her collection is fantastic. From Jackson Pollock to Max Ernst to Picasso, there are some really exquisite pieces of art to admire here. What I also love about this stop is how wonderful the view from Peggy's home is. You're really able to get up close with the canal and take some gorgeous pictures as the rest of Venice floats by. The grounds are full of wonderful sculptures as well, in addition to a lovely garden and graves for Peggy's beloved dogs, right beside Peggy herself. I always make time for this gallery when I'm in Venice and, if you're an art fan, it's highly recommended.

I am so grateful that we made a trip to the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. After 10 days of historic Roman and Italian art, triptychs of the Virgin Mary, etc., the chance to see some incredible modern and surrealist art was a welcome change. The space is beautiful and very well curated. Would highly recommend a visit here on your trip to Venice.

You will get to see pollock's. Not bad of a modern and expressionism art museum. But having been in numerous museums, i find the collection here a bit less. But amazing artworks. Love it. 15€ full price as of February 2018.

What a gem of an art collection in Italy. After going to several museums that predominantly showed Pre-Renaissance paintings of Mary and Jesus, it was really refreshing to be surrounded by modern art. Liked that it wasn't too crowded. Lots of big names like Picasso, Kandinsky, Ernst, Magritte, Calder, Pollock, and more. Although not their most well-known works, it was still a very well curated collection and I found myself wanting to spend a lot of time here. I also really enjoyed the temporary collections, Picasso on the Beach and Mystical Symbolism; the descriptions were educational. Worth the 9 euro student admission fee (15 euro regular admission). Only thing is I purchased the paper guide for 5 euro and there was no system of matching the painting with the description in the booklet, so I wouldn't have purchased it looking back.

Very interesting collection. Particularly those who like interpreting abstract art. A lot of the collection needed the right mindset to indulge the artists.. It was a good and pleasant experience. I'd advise the physical or audio guide to provide more information during the tour.

One of the best collections of 20th century art under one relatively small rough. I liked the compact nature of the environment especially the room containing Jackson Pollock paintings. A new discovery for me was Pegeen Vail Guggenheim who's colourful artwork I found captivating. Fantastic museum especially if you strike it lucky and go there when it's a bit less crowded.

My favourite gallery in Venice by far. Beautiful serene location with some amazing pieces (including pieces by Pollock, Mondrian, Picasso, and Dalí), and a great view of the canal. Great café/restaurant and gift shop too!

the collection itself is outstanding and so much interesting. Enough said as the works speak for themselves. The premises would be nothing short of fantastic if we were discussing a residence, a cafeteria or an apartment, yet certainly not an art gallery, which is what it was not designed for. Long corridors make it impossible to have a good view of the exhibits. Now as regards the management: completely unacceptable. Seemingly the only thing they want is your entrance fee, which explains the vast number of visitors simultaneously present which makes the viewing of the collection, near impossible and annoying. I think i still have a headache from the noise, the chatter and the flow of people who have no sense of art, interrupting my viewing in every way possible. All in all, it more resembles a cafeteria than an art gallery, which in my opinion exposes the incompetence of the current management. I may sound harsh but that was my experience on 30/4/2018, unfortunately i need to admit.

A wonderful museum of modern art. The Calder sculpture is front and center. Plan on at least two hours to properly enjoy the museum. Buy your tickets online to avoid the lines.

A small but well put together modern art museum showcasing the likes of Picasso and Max Ernst and other artists of their type. It isn't for everybody. Everything is easily accessible via lifts for strollers, and there are several bathrooms scattered about with changing tables. If short on time in Venice, the are other better things to see, but this is a nice place to get away from the crowds and typical Venetian things if you've got the time. This type of art isn't quite my thing, but it's still interesting to see in a nice setting

Excellent modern art collection! Wonderful museum, not overwhelmingly large, but a few hours is ideal to see it all. They had excellent temporary exhibitions and the permanent collection is divine. The set-up of the museum allows you to get close to the artwork and examine them in detail. I highly recommend this contemporary art collection.

Small, curated collection that provides ample entertainment while not feeling overwhelming. We needed about an hour in the museum but could have done it in less. Be prepared to leave your bags in a locked locker at the front. Very interesting collection of pieces, all unique and quite modern.

I won’t lie I’m not an art expert, no I’m the complete other extreme, in fact if you asked me about artists I’d only be able to name a hand few, those would be famous because there were films of their lives. So I went here as a complete art novice, one name I knew instantly however was Salvador Dali, never in my life did I think I would see genuine works of art by Dali. Well that’s what I saw, multiple works of art by Dali, so enthralled was I with this notion, little else mattered. We spent a few hours here, looking at art, enjoying the story of Peggy Guggenheim by her art and her furnishings. It was all quite fascinating to me, lovely pieces inside and out. Strong, knowledgeable staff all of whom spoke perfect English, even if they were not native speakers. The complex is quite small, but winding enough to fill a void of time while showing you phenomenal art pieces. My experience of similar is normally quite dull, Guggenheim clearly was intelligent a lover of art, but she clearly also had a good sense of humour, some playful humour really comes out at you during your visit.

Don't bring a bag with you unless you feel comfortable placing it in a locker. They don't tell you until you are ready to walk into the gate after you've paid that you have to put it into a locker. There was a key to the locker that you hold on to, so it wasn't that big of a deal. It was awesome to see some Picasso's and the Salvador Dali. There were several Jackson Pollock paintings and several other famous pieces. It was well worth seeing. When we went, it wasn't very crowded. The audio headset was well worth the money.

If you appreciate modern art, I would definitely recommend coming here. This was one of my favorite stops on a recent trip to Venice. The collection itself was wonderful, the entry price was very reasonable, and it's off the beaten path some, so there are less crowds to deal with. It's also situated right along the Grand Canal, so you can enjoy some great views of Venice right out the back door! Worth the visit in my book.

I had a lovely experience at this quaint museum. Between Ms. Guggenheim's superior collection and her beautiful palazzo, it is hard for even an art novice's soul to not be touched by the charm of this space. The staff were also warm and informative. I went on a tour with a young American, Monica, who was brilliant and a captivating speaker. My few hours here will be a wondrous memory from my time in Venice for years to come.
