We were just in awe of the beauty. The work done to restore this fantastic landmark was well worth it. We visited by day & night. Each has it's own rewards. We were given a moonlit night with clear crisp sunshine days. It can be expensive but at the same time, it's Venice and it's amazing!

Honestly, I was expecting much more. I mean, it is a cool bridge, but not all that in a box of chocolates. It is interesting, but there are some many great things in Venice that it is hard to say that the Rialto Bridge is a must-go place. It is a great link between islands, connecting Venice. It is an avenue of transport more than anything. But you have to go, I mean, it is part of the culture. There is a Hard Rock store at one side of it, so that was a plus for my wife, although I am not a big fan.
Angel Vizcarrafeb 28, 2018
Incredible structure with a spectacular view of the canals. Go there for really nice sunset pictures and just to people watch. I think the atmosphere in the evening especially when it starts to cool down is soothing. Can get very busy during peak hours though.
Firas Aldaloufeb 15, 2018
This is the biggest and oldest bridge in Venice. There are about 24 shops on the actual bridge. There are some places to eat and shop on either side as well as a public washroom. Gondola rides are also available but be careful you time them. They charge 80 euros for 30 minutes but they will bring you back in 15 20 minutes if you don't keep an eye on the clock. We went in January so the bridge wasn't as rammed as other people are saying.
M Hussain-Haqfeb 1, 2018
Stunning view from here, but it's absolutely rammed with tourists. There were literally queues of tourists wherever anyone looked like they were about to leave, waiting to grab a spot on the bridge so that they could get a picture. It was very pretty, but Venice is full of great views, and many pretty bridges, and you might be better off finding a bridge that is not so in demand.

Beautiful beautiful spot in Venice. We stood for a while watching the Venetian world go by from the bridge. It’s a lovely view. Love the little stalls in the middle of the bridge. We bought a few souvenirs from one of the shops there and it was cheaper than the shops in the Rialto market. The market place around the bridge is also lovely to walk through. Probably my favourite spot in Venice. And we met this adorable seagull wanting to pose for the crowds too :)
Shamim Abdul Razakmar 30, 2018
This bridge is spectacular. It's stunning to look at! I needed to find somewhere in Venice to propose to my girlfriend and I couldn't think of a better place. It can be extremely busy on the bridge itself so I decided to do it by the pontoons to the left of the bridge (heading over it from the hard rock cafe rock shop) and have the bridge in the background whilst I got on one knee to ask my, now, fiance to marry me. She loved it and it made the whole experience extremely special for both of us. You need to see this bridge if you are heading to Venice!!!
William Patrick Arnottapr 3, 2018
It's a beautiful spot in the city but loads of tourists just hang around on the bridge and that can make it a little uncomfortable and you lose sight of its beauty. There are also a few people selling you things on the bridge like many other tourist attractions in Venice. There are some very good restaurants nearby which have a pretty good view of the bridge.
Vanessa Phillipsmar 29, 2018
Great view of the water way. Gets very busy so go early or late. To get good pictures. There is shopping in middle of bridge that is good for souvenirs. You can barter on pricing.
Nicole Ryanmag 1, 2018
So then, the bridge, the architecture, the history and it's surroundings are superb and deserve 5 stars. However, tourist wise, it is the equivalent of Leicester Square and the restaurant prices are high compared with other areas in Venice. It is not a negative, but just an awareness if you are a tourist, drinking and having a good time don't get carried away and forget reality :) really love Venice and don't let this review pursuade you otherwise just have your wits about you.

One of the larger bridges in Venice. The inside walk ways are lined with high end shops built into the bridge. On the outside walkways you get and excellent view of the grand canal. You could spend hours here watching the boats go by. Definitely make time to visit this bridge.
Brett Gottfriedmag 25, 2018
Obviously a very attractive and well known location on the Grand Canal, Venice. The bridge has many little shops on each side but there is still room to walk across either in the centre between the shops or on the outside of the shops. From the sides you get great views of the Grand Canal and the numerous vessels sailing up and down it. In high season it is busy but still worth a visit.
Brian Gavingiu 3, 2018
I must say this second time around was much better compare to my first visit a decade ago. I know i was due back for a visit so here i was. I wish i had more time. I was only there for 2 days.. well 1.5 but it wasn't enough. I would definitely come again. Don't know much about the history of this bridge but it is quite famous and pretty at night. Do come by during day and night. The view and scenary is sure incomparable.
Viola C.mag 9, 2018
At first glance approaching on water in one of their boat buses (vaporetto), the bridge is a beautiful structure. But as you visit Venice, it is obvious that the Rialto bridge is of critical functional value to the city. It is one of 4 bridges crossing the Grand Canal which roughly bisects the city. An intersection of the city's major pedestrian and nautical thoroughfares. It's not a.must see - you cannot avoid it. But you will be grateful for her help.

Pros: 1. Great place for sightseeing and enjoying the canals of Venice. 2. Suitable for photograph taking, especially in the evening/night. 3. Many accessible water bus and other vehicles from there, as this place is considered as the most important spot of Venice canal system. Cons: 1. A bit hard to find. Way there, especially from "the other side" of canal can be tricky and takes a mile away. 2. Too many people jam-packing the bridge, makes it very hard to have a good spot on doing anything you want. 3. Shops there close early, circa 9pm-10pm.
Henny Limgiu 16, 2018
This bridge looked quite unique and beautiful. It was pretty crowded as should be expected in Venice. It offers a good view of the Grand Canal with gondolas and boats moving slowly under it. I personally like visiting this place after sunset to see the small businesses with outdoor seating and the smell of Italian food, the lights and the magical atmosphere. There are shops and restaurants on both sides of the bridge and it does quite feel like you are walking from one area to a different area. Walking along the canal and exploring the smaller canals with short bridges over them is quite an experience and is definitely a must visit! The Rialto bridge is a must visit.

Rialto Bridge is main tourist attraction of Venice. It is located almost at the centre of Venice city. You can walk down from train station or you can take water taxi, water bus to reach here. This place is having its own charm and you should visit rialto both in morning and after sunset. You have food options available around Rialto Bridge so just take a slice of pizza and enjoy the beauty of Venice and Rialto Bridge. There are souvenir shops available around Bridge to give gift to your near ones.

The most spectacular and beautiful bridge in Venice. Great place to people watch. Its fame obviously makes it a very busy place, but it is wide and easy to cross without too many problems. Some great shops on either side, including a Hard Rock Cafe shop (but no bar or restaurant - that’s near St Marks Square) and some nice places to eat.
Martyn Daviesgiu 14, 2018
Nice. This bridge is on Grand canal and every one visits this. Rialto and St marks Square are two important spots in Venice to visit. There is walk route connection between these two places with sign boards every where so no worries. Also from main train station we have walk route with boards every where. Lot of hotels and restaurants across this grand canal and near rialto bridge. Lot of shops on this bridge also. You can hive nice view of Grand canal from bridge over
