San Vidal (San Vitale) is a former church, and now an event and concert hall located at one end of the Campo Santo Stefano in the Sestiere of San Marco, where it leads into the campiello San Vidal, and from there to the Ponte dell'Accademia that spans the Grand Canal and connects to the Sestiere of Dorsoduro, Venice, Italy.
A church at the site was erected in the year 1084 by Doge Vitale Falier. This church was destroyed in 1105 by a major city fire. Reconstruction continued for centuries and was finished by the 16th century. But poor foundations led to a renewed reconstruction in the 17th century, using designs Antonio Gaspari. It was rebuilt in 1696 to honor the former Doge Francesco Morosini. On the facade (1734–37), designed by Andrea Tirali, are sculpted portraits of the Doge Carlo Contarini and his wife Paolina.

We had such a lovely evening concert at this venue. The size of the space was intimate and the musicians were excellent - quiet a joy to watch. No weird dress up gimmicks here. Just talented musicians, intimate venue, easily located venue (near Academia bridge) and a wonderful evening. We paid €30 for a 1.5 hr concert and thought it was fair. Note that it’s free seating and there was already a queue outside when we got there 15 minutes before doors open (i.e. 45 minutes before the concert)

The musicians are fantastic!!! To see Antonio Vivaldi's Four Seasons masterpiece performed by such talented musicians in the very church he stood in was a dream. They even threw in some other works by other composers. The performance lasted about 90 minutes with a 5 minute intermission. Another great point is the staff stand gaurd to watch for and stop any rude tourist from filming and taking photos during the show so you can actually enjoy it. Have fun.

Highly entertaining concert was watched here, especially the funky cellist. Great musicians and stage presence, though the acaustics were left wanting due to the hight of the ceiling! Woopsie. A little pricy but highly recommended

비발디 음악회 때문에 들르게 되었는데 좋았어요! Had a nice experience in Church of Sanvidal! I went here for Vivaldi concerto, and it was soo good. This was a epic memory in Venezia :) Btw, be careful when you're in a line out there. Mosquitos are waiting for you

Memorable Quattro Staggioni by Venezian Interprets in an unusual scenery of an old church. Fantastic cultural experience for parents and kids.
