You can not help but be amazed at such an ancient building structure and in fact it still stands as part of the city today. There was a cafe right next to it where we decided to drink coffee while admiring the Borsari gate. It is definitely worth a visit to see how it has stood the test of time for itself. Here's the side of the sign that has a few messages to give you its history and the whole structure. This is a seemingly part of it. This is the true history of Rome where you can touch and all the time is still more beautiful and sturdy finctional and hundreds of people are used daily. The outside is more like a pretty sanctuary than the inside if you're like the way we did it for the first time from the inside and incredibly believe it can stand as part of this beautiful city. After going from two directions, a large tourist spot is small but be sure to check out. The entrance to the oldest city! Beautiful landmark still stands in this time it has its own rights. It's easy to find, looks great and makes some nice photos. Verona's place is full of history. One of the places it will be Brown - century before you were born porta dei Borsari. What we have noticed regrettably is that many people just pass by and do not even notice this gorgeous door dating back to AD. It was once the city's main entrance in the first century, and at that time there was once again an inner hospital. This is why it reaches the decoration. You can stop for a minute or so, if you are, close your eyes and imagine what it's like to be back in the first century ... in the first few days, there are beautiful evening lights and bright lights.

There are lot of shops here. The market stays open until 7:30pm. But the products are expensive. Therefore check the prices on every store before buying them. Also in restaurants they charge for the table in addition to the tips for the waiters/waitress. Therefore always check the price of the table before getting in. It can vary from 2€ to 10€ per person

You can see it as you approach surrounded by contemporary shops in ancient buildings and it's a blast from the past. The ingenuity of ancient builders is amazing and pleasing to see.

Borsari gate once was part of the structure of gorgeous palace. Just on its left you can enjoy a good drink or pizza.

To see the Borsari Gate, and appreciate that it is ancient, is really something you don't want to miss if you are in Verona. I found it incredible as it now stands between way more modern buildings, and if it could tell stories, you'd be able to sit for hours, spellbound, as the historic happenings unfolded. It is almost easy to miss, so look out for it. To some it's just an old crumbly wall, but you need to look beyond that. It's a piece of history and needs respect!

The Romans paid good money here to enter the city. 2000 years later it is still worth seeing. Look for the medussa head incorporated into the cornerstone if a building just inside the porta. If I were a grave robber it would scare me away too.

Being a history buff, this is a real treasure... the main gate marking both the old Roman walls - the remnants form some of the foundation walls of some of the nearby buildings - and the military road to Rome from the North. Of note, is that after 1800 years, the modern road is some 3+m higher then the original Roman road.. an impressive gate indeed.
