The Frederic Chopin Monument in Warsaw (Polish: Pomnik Fryderyka Chopina w Warszawie) is a large bronze statue of Frédéric Chopin (1810–1849) that now stands in the upper part of Warsaw's Royal Baths Park (also known as Łazienki Park), adjacent to Aleje Ujazdowskie (Ujazdów Avenue).
I have been a regular visitor to the park over the years. Home for me is just a few km away.It really is the most beautiful of city parks. This monument to Chopin is a must see especially during the warm months of summer when on Sundays there are free concerts. Bring a blanket and a picnic and settle down listening to his music played by top musicians. Concerts can be busy but it’s no problem to find a spot. Impossible not to enjoy.
Łazienki Park is the largest park in Warsaw, and takes time to explore fully. Set aside a few unhurried hours to stroll, take photos and even listen to music if there are concerts happening. During summer there are plenty of classical recitals to be enjoyed. The statue of Chopin, the composer is a revered Polish cultural icon, has an interesting history. A good tour guide will tell you the stories around it, the park and the place it holds amongst the Polish. It's worth a visit, and is also one of many historical and cultural sites within the park itself. I visited the park on my own, and while I enjoyed the experience, visiting it with a tour guide is an entirely new level of experience. One great feature is the music of Chopin that can be heard playing from benches.
Amazing park. Starting here and then having a stroll through this wonderful park was amazing. I loved it.
One of the best things I've ever experienced. Free Chopin openair piano concerts on Sunday at noon and 4pm. Gotta love it!
Beautiful place in the snow, had the luxury of being here :)
Also if you're chopin fans, this place ks is a must visit!
Memorial to Warsaw’s iconic character, Chopin. Nice public space to hang out while contemplating the statue. The green park surrounding it is the best part.
Polish most known composer Chopin He was born near Warsaw I Zelazowa Wola .Chopin monument was destroyed I second war war .It was rebuild after pictures and Loren scale model which was found I museum. Here ever suterday are concerts at 12:00 and 16:00
Beautiful, outdoor space and monument. Looking forward to the sunny long days of summer to really enjoy it.
Not much to see, but a very nice park all around. Find the musical benches all over Warsaw!
A great attraction in Warsaw. Listen to music, watch the birds, look at the weird, smooth, greenish water. A fun place for tourists to look at Polish architecture and nature. The presidential residence and a statue of a famous general are also right next to the park entrance, so that's a bonus.
The summer Chopin recitals run from May until September in the Park every Sunday. There are 2 shows. We went to the second one at 4pm. It gets very busy so get there early for a good spot and bring something to sit on. If you like Chopin this is a real treat to hear world class pianists play. It’s free and very popular with locals and tourists alike.
Love the area! Specially nice to enjoy beautiful piano music, all Chopin, by the monument on a Sunday afternoon. Great place to be with family, kids, friends and elderly. I love the atmosphere in this park. Walking around is great, and the whole place is just so beautiful! Magical!
What an impressive monument. It is the perfect place for the piano concert happening this day. The place was packed with people and it seemed natural and still in the park setting.
Nice place to see, calm and pretty. Statue is interesting and there is a pond with birds. Nothing more nothing less. I was there on a warm day so it is better to get refreshments with you.
A great place to take a rest on the bench and enjoy the view of the statue. Inhale the art beauty and listen to Chopin music coming from the musical bench in the center
