Great place, the Washington DC shows a lot of compassion for all the fallen officers throughout the United states. The trains allowed officers to travel free of charge with proper identification. There were even officers from London their. Officers from every department were there celebrating. Their was a parade. Rest in peace to all the heroes who died in the line of duty while walking that thin blue line. May 10-15 every year.

I loved my visit because of how well managed the memorial is. The caretakers were very helpful & dutiful. They made my experience there wonderful. My relative's names are on those walls. P It's pretty humbling to know those names will be read countless times long after I'm gone.. ..

it is a understanded memorial very lovely. the names the names i cant believe all the fallen brave in blue. It is inspirational to see the names or the people how protect and serve the benches are nice and the logs are amazing you can look up your city for the fallen. It is nice to not take our law enforcement for granted . the fact that we can call for help and an officer will come to our aid is a comfort . the selfless acts of officers to put them self in danger for us and run to danger is humbling

Very moving memorial. It has a beautiful design and the walls of name after name of the fallen engraved is incredibly powerful and sad. If possible, visit during police week in May when the memorial is decorated with all of the fallen’s family members memory items they leave behind with their visit. It is heart wrenching to see and read some of the letters and mementos not to mention there are often family members there visiting. I was moved to tears more than a few times. The honor guard displaying of the wreath is quite moving as well. A well done tribute to the thin blue line.

Great monument to fallen officers. The site has a nice memory wall, beautiful lion statutes and a small water feature. Parking is tricky, there are parking meters on the road that fill up quickly. Best option is to take Metro red line and get off at Judiciary Square station. The escalators drop you right off in the middle of the monument. I would say you could see the whole monument and pay your respects in about 1 hour.

This place is amazing. I was able to find two relatives that were killed in the line of duty while attempting to stop moonshiners. The pool and statues are beautiful. This place is a must visit for anyone that has family that has served in law enforcement.

This is a great memorial to Law Enforcement nationwide. There is a directory by both last name and agency. Well worth the visit.

As an active LEO, I’m only giving this 5 stars because of the men and woman who paid the ultimate sacrifice. With that being said, my experience was awful. We were greeted by 10-12 homeless/ drugged up individuals who were lingering and littering at the entrance. So needless to say, our trip was short. It was so disheartening to see this. The metro police need to address this issue and take enforcement action against anyone who disrespects our fallen officers. I myself work in a big city with a large homeless population, however, there’s a line to be drawn with where they can and cannot congregate. Draw the line.

As a former law enforcement officer, I may be a little biased, but to me this is the most hallowed spot in all of DC. It honors all of my brothers and sisters throughout history who have fallen in the name of law enforcement on the protection of others. It is an awesome thing to see all of us gathered together and honor the memories of those we have lost. Nearby, ground is currently being broken for the law enforcement Museum. To those visiting from out of town, there is absolutely no parking nearby. And always remember, even if you are a law enforcement officer, the DC parking authority will still ticket your vehicle.

Solemn. Wedged over top of the subway access which is kind of tacky in their part but it sure makes getting there easy. Call ahead of your looking for a recent name - they engrave after the police week normally each year and sometimes it may not be inscribed yet - made two trips and both times tour groups or college groups were present. It’s a shame to have so many names on a wall in a country as great as America is and that more isn’t done but that soapbox of mine belongs in its own forum.
