I'm a chorister at the Cathedral; I just started this year. Anyone thinking of visiting should definitely do so! I'm not just telling you too come watch me sing - you might not think it possible, but the decorations within the elaborately decorated walls of the cathedral are even more dazzling than the awe-inspiring carvings outside! Even though I frequent the place as I am a chorister, I always take time to admire the structures that expertly skilled craftspeople took over a hundred years to chip. My favorite place, or places rather, is the huge three- section mural of the sun and moon and God at the center that is carved into the arcs above the main doors. Also, visit former President Woodrow Wilson's tomb. Have fun visiting!

This is a very beautiful piece of architecture and well worth visiting to get a feel for it. It's setting is designed to emphasise the peacefulness and this enhances its purpose. Its design is on a par with the other great cathedrals, some of which are centuries older, and it will draw you back again and again. On the day we visited, we were lucky to have bright, clear sunshine and the stained glass windows filled the cathedral with colour. One window to watch out for is the one dedicated to space. After visiting the cathedral, don't hurry away as there is a beautiful garden in the grounds where you can sit and contemplate the wonders of our world. This truly promotes the glory of God and through design, the beauty of his works.

Fantastic visit! Gorgeous cathedral with a fascinating story and wonderful guides. Take the guided tour, you'll learn so much more than going around on your own. Give yourself a couple of hours here to view all of the chapels, and spaces. Take the gargoyle tour if you can too! I've been here a few times and it's better every time.

Absolutely awesome cathedral. I had no idea there were such cathedrals outside Europe. Very authentic, somehow, yet very young. I did the Behind the Scenes tour, which is a bit steeply priced at a $15 extra, but it is so cool to go through all those doors that say, "Access Denied"! Don't forget to check out the basement - it houses 3 additional, beautiful chapels. The guides were very knowledgeable and knew how to tell a good story. Awesome!

This cathedral is beautiful inside and outside. Its building is majestic and imposing. On the seventh floor is the observatory. There was a display of cribs of the baby Jesus from different countries. The stained glass windows and floors are beautiful. I recommend visiting this site in Washington DC and you have to pay to do the tour, students and teachers are half price and adults $ 12.I took a lot of photos.

This is a beautiful building! The Cathedral is unlike any other in the world and definitely take a tour if possible. The tour points out all the unusual and unique things that make this cathedral unlike any other in the world. It’s a must see if you’re visiting Washington DC.

The National Cathedral is quite an amazing site. The history woven into its creation is incredible. Although it's not as easily accessible as sites along the National Mall, I would recommend spending a few hours here if you get the chance. If you do, be sure to check out the upper levels as well as the main church. And Star Wars fans should head outside to spot the Darth Vader "gargoyle" on the roof. This is a pretty incredible work of architecture and artistry.

Beautiful space inside the building and outside. The cathedral itself has so many nooks and crannies that I still don't think I've seen all of it but it is always fun to walk around. The staff is helpful and there is also a very large gift shop. Went to some of events and they are well organized.

Not only is it historic it's also the Magnificent Place To Worship and to pray. The cathedrals Gothic spires and flying buttresses allow for beautiful large stained glass windows portraying the growth of this nation and the life of Christ. So much to see come back often.

We went for the spring plant festival. Church is spectacular and I highly recommend a visit or two. Lots of native plants to select from. A lot of other booths for jewelry, clothing and some art. They also had an exhibit in the church of flower decoration by different embassies.

Inspiring architecture. The stained glass windows are beautiful and diverse in their styles. We heard part of an organ concert, and loved the acoustics. There was an art exhibit throughout the crypt exploring contemporary issues of racism. We also walked in the gardens and enjoyed different dimensions of the cathedral. Spend time here and let your senses be filled!

The Cathedral was very lovely. There was parking underneath with restrooms that were stocked and clean. The Cathedral itself was beautiful inside and out. There were so many different things to see. One of the stained glass windows that remembered the Apollo XI mission actually has a moon rock in the glass. There is a Darth Vader 'gargoyle' on one of the spires. If you can get there you should.

Absolutely beautiful place to go. Religious or not it's an extremely immense building that fills you with awe. Everything from the upper terrace view to the basement chapels are amazing and have a natural reverent feel. The gardens and buildings next door are also worth walking around. Hoping to return for a service in the future.

It's always a pleasure to visit the National Cathedral when I am in town. First time to the 9:00 service. Great music with two talented singers and fantastic jazz musicians including a priest. Wonderful sermon and a mixture of tourists and parishioners making it a multicultural heaven which is God's plan. Peace and love+ Deacon Andi

Walk one floor down and discover chambers, havens open to the public. Every element appears to have been designed to be beautiful, ornate, majestic. And the church has some very open minded and modern ideas. There is a quiet room for prayer and reading one floor beneath the main entrance, and you do have to wander a bit to find it, but it is a haven of peace and I would recommend experiencing the space. Also, take an elevator to the seventh floor and check out the views along the perimeter. Breathtaking experience.

This is a beautiful worship space! The architecture and stained glass create a place that's extraordinary. Also attended worship there and the congregation was genuine and welcoming. I highly recommend visiting this site!

The exterior of the cathedral is just gorgeous!! I take lots of photos of it. Beautiful architecture. Everyone entering the cathedral is very respectful and keep the voice down. I really enjoy all the glass works. It is maintained very well. Very clean. Staffs are very friendly.
