Great little pub. Peaceful and tranquil surroundings. Food absolutely delicious and staff very friendly. Highly recommended!
Pub-with-rooms. Wacky decor is interesting but ultimately style over substance. Our room was freezing - we stayed in the Winter but expected some decent heating. There was one tiny radiator in the room and a real fireplace. Lovely, but totally impractical. Bath in middle of room was a novelty, but again totally impractical - showers were impossible. Sharp metal lampshade sculpture immediately above the bath impaled my head repeatedly. Breakfast was good but overall we were left with a feeling that we had been ripped off. Owners need to spend a few days staying in each room to understand how impractical they are.
Really nice and I've really enjoyed coming here for dinner as the variety of the menu is great but not too much that it is over baring or that you worry that too much variety reduces quality. The locally brewed cider flavours are interesting too. Have been here for breakfast and wasn't as impressed but still beautiful decor and setting. =)
Loved the place, & although we didn't eat here it had a good menu. It had a selection of craft ales & lagers to choose from. Not the run of the mill usuals! It's a pub we stumbled upon whilst out on a country walk & will definitely be visiting again.
This was our first visit but will definitely be going back again. The staff are really friendly and the food is amazing and very good value for money. Loved this pub.
Just went in for a quick drink. Lovely atmosphere, staff very friendly and chatty with the kids. Definitely recommend.
Must say this pub/restaurant is superb. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The drinks are reasonably priced. The bar itself is very quaint and oldie worldie..in winter there is often an open fire. The outside are is well maintained and lovely surroundings. Not eaten there myself but my family have and say it's excellent..perhaps I'll try the food next time. Loved this place.
Delicious food from friendly country pub. Quirky interior. Lovely seating area outside so revisit when weather improves necessary.
Would highly recommend this pub for food. Spent a special evening for a close friends birthday. Felt staff 'rolled out the red carpet' made the evening extra special. Lovely atmosphere, staff very friendly. Looking forward to going back - need to try their Sunday roast.
Fabulous little pub, decorated authentically but with modern twists. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We had the Sunday roast, and it was amazing. Melt in the mouth meat, lovely roasted veg, fresh crispy roast potatoes and proper gravy!!! Our daughters loved the array of gins on offer!! Altogether a lovely relaxed Sunday afternoon. We'll be back!!!
