It’s definitely different, and could perhaps be considered a refreshing reprieve from the gothic and renaissance architecture that otherwise pervades Vienna. But at the end of the day it’s a quite shabby, oddly constructed building that could use a thorough cleaning. Stop by if you are in the area, but don’t go too far out of your way.

I mean, it's funky. I appreciate the creative break from the rest of the museum-esq City, but other than looking at the cool building there isn't too much else here. Also, the buildings are looking rather dingy these days, could definitely use a fresh coat of paint.

This is one of my favorite spots in Vienna. Since I travelled through Budapest earlier, I’ve seen many churches and beautiful architectures. But this place is uniquely Vienna! I love the building integrates nature into its design. Definitely worth a visit!

The most colorful spot in the city and a nice break from the rigidity of the city center. Takes about half hour fast walk from the city centre but worth the walk! One of my favorite buildings in Vienna!

Pause and take a proper look at the house - all windows are different, all pillars are different, the choice of colours doesn’t seem to have any logic. But weirdly you want to look at it more and more.

Friedensreich Hundertwasser started out as a painter. Since the early 1950s, however, he increasingly became focused on architecture, writing and reading in public .’ advocating natural forms of decay. In 1972, he had his first architectural models made for the TV-show ‘Wünsch dir was', in order to demonstrate his ideas on forested roofs, "tree tenants" and the "window right" of every tenant to embellish the facade around his windows. In these models Hundertwasser also developed new architectural shapes, such as the "eye-slit" house and the "high-rise meadow house"

This place is must see when you are in Vienna. Beautiful and best time to have photos are at the day time. Night time it wasn't that great. Still bear in mind there might be a lot of tourists as this is one of the tourist spots. early in morning or late in evening might be the best time to see this beauty.

The Hundertwasserhaus is an apartment house in Vienna, Austria, built after the idea and concept of Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser with architect Joseph Krawina as a co-author. Hundertwasser House is one of the most beautiful apartment houses in Vienna. But, be aware that this is popular tourist spot and you can expect a lot of tourists during any time of the day and there is only 1 or 2 cafes, one on the corner of the building and other inside small shopping willage where you can buy souvenirs. Also, toilets inside cafes are only for customers and with coded doors, so you will need to order at least a coffee if you like to use them. However, it is definitely worth seeing it if you like unusual architecture.

A very special place. Make it your destination to buy original Viennese souvenirs. It is little bit cheaper than other places in the city. Having a beer at the bar in the middle is a must try experience. You can buy lots of gifts here. Mozart chocolate or klimt paintings. Visiting Vienna would be complete without being here

Ok, let's be clear about what can you expect: this is an private apartment house in a unique, unusual style. If you aren't particularly interested in architecture, skip it, as you can only go around and view the exterior, front and back and the surrounding area that was similarly arranged to match the the house's design. You can buy souvenirs in a small mall near the house or have coffee or lunch in the restaurant. The food there is ok and prices average. Some people here wrote that this place is a bad copy of the work of Gaudí. I disagree: Hundertwasser was a man of many artistic traits and has gained recognition in his own right, creating his own style.

If you have enough time, you can pop in. The house is extraordinary and really will catch your eye, but the cafe on the second floor is absolutely awfull, especially service!!!!! Дом необычный и пожалуй стоит на него посмотреть, но кафе на втором этаже ужасное, особенно сервис!!!
