Der Volksgarten ist eine öffentliche Parkanlage an der Ringstraße im 1. Wiener Gemeindebezirk Innere Stadt.
Lovely garden and surroundings. Very beautiful in the summer. A calm oasis in the city
Great place directly in the city and sometimes there are street artists guitarists playing wonderful music!!!! Feels like real Vienna with great music!
Came here by chance during the early summer months and it was beautiful. Just a cool garden with bright rows of roses and benches for you to sit and enjoy the view. Highly recommend it
Nice Club with mainstream music. People are cool there. I love the feature that they can open the roof above the dancefloor. But why the hell do they always close it again after 10 seconds 😑
s small paradise in the middle of the city. Heaven of roses. A must see in Vienna.
My favourite park in Vienna, it’s like an oasis in the middle of the city. It might be small but it’s wonderful. In winter (excluding the day when it’s covered in snow, which is a real sight) it might be a bit bare, but it’s still lovely to stroll around. However, when the flowers, especially the roses, are in bloom, it’s a very special place. Also, if you’re in Vienna in autumn, I think Volksgarten might be the most beautiful spot in the whole city to catch the changing colours of the season.
Nice place to go out mostly in the summer, i love it out there in the garden.
If you are in vienna please visit volksgarten I am sure you will enjoy the beauty of the flowers and the view of the Hofburg
One of the best Clubs in town. Period.
It has to be one of my favorite parks in Vienna, it's quite small but nice. Lovely garden and surroundings;)
One of my favourite parks with great views of key sites
Great for a walk, to just relax and read a good book...
Awesome place to spend time with family.. An artistic arrangement of rose garden which is soothing for the eyes and can relax you after a tired day. It's near the City centre and the Parliament and is one of the must-go destinations in Vienna.
An amazing park in the heart of Wien with an incredible collection is roses. It's a must visit in spring time to enjoy the thousands of roses of every color and shape. Early in the morning it's a magic place to relax and enjoy the breeze.
Volksgarten (People's Park) is located just beyond Hapsburg Palace and very near to the Burg Theatre. This is one of the oldest public parks in the city, opening to the public in 1823. Like other important city parks and squares around Vienna, Volksgarten doesn't show its best during winter months. Trees are bare of foliage, shrubs are wrapped up and covered to protect them from the elements and the cafe is closed for season. That is fine and expected given the cold winter conditions. While the natural beauty of the park is not on display at this time of year, the monuments are fine to view. You can view the interesting statues of Empress Elisabeth, Franz Grillparzer, the Theseus Temple as well as the more recently inaugurated Memorial for the Victims of Nazi Military Justice. During my recent visit, there was a thin layer of snow, which made for nice monument viewing at Volksgarten.
Really nice place to take a stroll. I would return each year only to discover more and more architectural details or even other unseen buildings.
We have lived in Vienna for a while now, but this park still is one of our favourites for an evening stroll. You can always find a nice corner where there are no tourists. Beautiful views all year round! Don't miss the roses...
So beautiful! After walking around for the whole day, we stopped here and had our sandwiches and coke. The flowers are so refreshing.
This is a delightful garden. Water fountains, lawns and beautiful plants. If it's not too hot, it's fine. However, when I visited, there was little shade/protection from the sun. This isn't the kind of place I'd visit to take landscape photos. It's a great place to relax on a cool day, though.
Magnificent, amazing and fairly peaceful place. The rose garden is beautiful.
Loved it so much. Full of roses and others flowers. Very nice to walk in the garden. Especially when summer time.
