A nice little thing to do as part of a day out and reasonably priced. A few interactive things to do throughout for the children. We enjoyed an otter talk, there was also handling opportunities.
Great aquarium. Not huge but really interesting. It's nice to see native fish displayed in an aquarium. Nice setting too on the shores of Lake Windermere.
The Lakes Aquarium is situated next to the Lakeside Station, and they have huge collection of fish as well as other creatures great and small from rain forests around the world, including amphibians, reptiles, frogs, toads, chameleons, boa constrictors and cheeky Marmosets.
A small but interesting collection of fish and mammals both from the local area and further afield. Everything was easy to see and the information panels were useful.
Nice place and very interesting. I would of like more to seen more. Not that expensive and you could get it cheaper if you going to the other places near by.
Not a great aquarium. Very quick to get round and not a lot of variety. It was quite cheap to get in but I wouldn't bother again. The tanks looked dirty too.
Excellent place, Kids really enjoyed it. Ideal location, East to find.. Parking a little bit hard in busy periods but other than that a great place..
Lovely, from the baby to adults plenty to see. You’re not rushed by others. The dressing up area is great fun.
Lovely little aquarium. Will only take an hours to wander through, but some nice fish for youngsters to look at and the otters are definitely a highlight. Convenient location to tie up with boats or the railway. Well worth a visit on the way past.
The otters are the stars for me. Great range of fish and other stuff. With a trip on a steamer a great place for a day trip.
Small but very good nice exhibits and a cool area for kids, having no glass in the ant exhibit Greek out my misses lol
Really enjoyed our visit. It's not the biggest aquarium but I think we spent over an hour looking round. It's reasonably priced for its size although you will also need to pay a few pounds for parking as well. They had some really fascinating exhibits and it's definitely worth a visit, especially if you're stuck for something to do on a rainy day.
This is a nice little aquarium, which is run well with an upstairs and downstairs sections . There are areas for kids to interact and a little quiz to spot clues as you go through. There weren't just aquatic animals in there, which was a nice surprise too. Well worth a visit, and in the summer, could combine with a boat ride or a steam train.
Great for kids to learn about sea creatures and other water animals. Not huge so perfect to slot in with a trip on the lake cruises or steam railway. Clean and reasonably priced with friendly, helpful staff.
A simple and fun aquarium. It's smaller than most but it's host to a collection of unique and interesting animals ranging from beautiful marine life to otters and even...ants. There's plenty of parking spaces for those who go by car. The admission prices are cheap and well worth it for what's on offer. It's a great place for the family and boasts many child friendly areas and activities. The gift shop is small but contains many wonderful souvenirs at a reasonable price that you can enjoy at any age.
