One of the great places to visit to feel the local vibe. It's not just for tourists, you see locals doing their shopping there too. There are mostly fruits and vegetables at the open air section. Past that they sell potted plants. There is also an alley for souvenirs beside the market. This market is very close to the "bar street" too. Tip: At the lower level there, near the entrance for the meats and delis, there is a stall that roasts chicken, pork belly and pork leg. We've tried the chicken, it was tender and tasty. 45kuna for a whole chicken, what a steal :)
Best market I've every been to. We never revisit cities, but did so for the market. Best fresh fruit in the open square, and a great meat and cheese in the hall beneath.
This market is awesome! Fresh fruits, vegetables, hand made trinkets, my sister and I bought stuff for a picnic and it was all so yummy! There s also and inside market if you go down the stairs.
It's definitely a must for any visitor or tourist. A wide variety of products, local food, pastries, soap, clothes, liquors. On the upper part of the market you can find a complete selection of fresh local products and fruits for a very reasonable price. It's important to visit before 3pm since some of the shops will be closed by that time. The flower market hall it's beautiful by itself full of plants and blooming colorful flowers, perfect for catching a good picture. There is also a touristic information point where they will help you with maps, directions, etc for free and in English. Great experience, near to the Broken relationships museum, churches, souvenir stores and cafés.
Very nice open air market with a lot of loca produce especially fruits, nuts , flowers etc. the price is quite cheap compared to other parts of Croatia you may visit. Don’t think so much. Just purchase as the price is definitely good already.
