Short distance from Zurich, with fast S-Bahn train service, which runs every 30 minutes, and visitors can enjoy excellent scenic view of Zurich. The place is suitable for mountain climbing, picnic, and excellent sight seeing view of Zurich city, Lake, and surrounding Alps mountain series when visitors walk to the observation area. There are a few coffee shops and dining restaurants at the train station, along the mountain roads and observation area [quasi mountain top], although their opening hours are various, and their operating hours in weekends are not uniform and are not clearly stated. There are a few mountain trails with different lengths and height for outdoor activity lover. In April 2018, there's rail track work between last two stops on weekdays, but bus service is provided. Track work is suspended in weekend for normal operation because the place is popular for the weekend same-day visitors.

Uetliberg is a small mountain peak just outside the Zurich city borders. The view of Zurich from up here is really amazing both at day and at night. There is a steel tower here as well that can be climbed. There are a couple of hotels and restaurants on the top and it takes approx. 20 minutes to hike up to the peak from the Uetliberg train station.

That view is worth the trip and a short hike. I'm sure the longer likes are even better but I was only in Zürich for a long layover. Very very glad I went to Uetliberg.

One of my favourite places to visit in Zurich. It is short hike to the top, about an hour but you can also take a train up. Excellent views in any season, reasonably good snow in winter, nice walking paths to many locations, though my favourite is the walk to Felsenegg

One of must go places during a short stay in Zurich. However only worth it if the weather is clear. If you have more time, better take a train to some real Alps

Beautiful scenery whether climbing the observation tower or taking any of the many walking tracks down the mountain. The walk down the city side of the mountain is fairly easy even for a novice like me.

We went there at the winter peak, was rainy and cold, But it totally worth it. the views, the atmosphere and the landscape were extremely beautiful. There is a long way up to climb but you won't regret it.

More than movie! I visited Uetliberg in Winter 2017 and as you can see how beautiful is it! I love this view so much!
