Museum de Fundatie (Dutch pronunciation: [myˌzeːjʏm də fʏnˈdaː(t)si]) is a museum for the visual arts in Zwolle, Netherlands. Museum de Fundatie forms part of the Hannema-de Stuers Foundation, to which Kasteel het Nijenhuis in Heino also belongs. Museum de Fundatie possesses a collection of visual arts, with works ranging from the end of the Middle Ages until the present day, collected by Dirk Hannema, former director of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen. As well as the permanent collection, Museum de Fundatie organises new, wide-ranging exhibitions every three months. Museum de Fundatie recorded a record number of 310,000 visitors in 2015.
Museum de Fundatie was founded in 1958. Its original location was Kasteel Het Nijenhuis, a 17th-century castle near the villages of Heino and Wijhe, which was the residence of museum founder Dirk Hannema.
This museum was a great surprise for us. The building is awesome and the art was great. All kinds of art is exposed from classic to very modern. If you like art it is a great place to visit. I recommend it above many of the more visited Amsterdam museums. Toilets very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Breathtaking Museum from afar that's for sure. The price is also OK. 11 Euros to see all exhibitions is fair. But the space inside is weird. We the visitors seem to wander about like strangers at a common's friend house but none of us know each other. The coffee shop could not be less gezellig. Well this made us in and out in just about an hour which is probably the intention here.

Momentarily very good collection. Extension on top of the building not as inspiring as the promising looks outside would suggest.
